Duncan Cedar [WA 2017 Day 7] -- May 12

When you're in and around Olympic National Park, there are signs on the highway and on the map pointing out "big trees" and in a land of what are already really big trees, they're generally worth checking out.  The Duncan Cedar is on land owned by a logging company, and it was left behind when the trees in the area were cut down.  It is supposed to be 1,000 years old, and it's the largest Western red cedar alive.

The signage is a little strange, but it gets the job done!

This tree is so big around that there is a little boardwalk path going all the way around it.  It was raining when we finally stopped, but Hazel and Vivian ran around and around anyhow.
