Hazel and Vivian rode their bicycles to Washington Park, about 1.25 miles from home. When we got there, groups of 5th graders were running around the park doing a selfie scavenger hunt, and taking pictures with all kinds of things (someone with a dog, the swings, a picnic table, and so on). Instead of playing, the girls mostly watched those kids running around! They did enjoy a snack, though. And Jane smiled at us from the stroller. The weather started to get chilly, and we headed home for lunch. On the way back, Hazel fell and skinned up her knee a little bit, so we stopped by Beitel Elementary, and Grandad graciously gave her a band-aid!
