Highway 130 in Springtime -- May 28

WYDOT makes it a goal every year to clear WY 130, which goes over the mountains, by Memorial Day.  Until then, it is closed to cars 11 miles past Centennial.  We decided to check it out, and the mountains are just beautiful.  We finally have spring, but we set out to find winter again!  It was about 35 degrees at the Medicine Bow Peak parking lot, and something like a 20 mph wind with stronger gusts.  Mostly we stayed in the car, though --there isn't really anywhere to walk right now anyhow.  There were folks out with skis and snowshoes and snowmobiles.

I attempted to use the panorama feature on the camera, and then forgot to turn it off.  The result felt sort of like photo booth pictures.

A nice man from Iowa offered to take our picture, which was very nice.  Hazel kept saying that the wind was miserable (which it kind of was).  But it was pretty neat anyhow, especially since we knew we were going back home shortly.  The temperature difference was a little more than 20 degrees!
