Hazel spent a fair bit of Christmas morning pushing her new shopping cart around. Andrew was given a shopping cart at a similar age, and Hazel likes hers just as much as he did. She uses it for her vegetables and for empty containers for things like oatmeal and parmesan cheese. Also, she imitates my grocery store checkout etiquette and says "thank you so much" as she puts things in her cart.
We had a nice cozy fire on Christmas morning. It was cheerful and warm.
Andrew reading to Vivian from photo book we made for her of her first few weeks.
Hazel trying on a tutu we made for her.
Vivian is ready for breakfast! We had a breakfast bread pudding with sausage for breakfast, which was perfect because it needs to be made the night before. We just popped it in the oven while we opened our stockings. After breakfast, we were off to church. Everyone got a nap in the afternoon, and Hazel slowly worked on opening her gifts during the day so as not to overdo it all at once. Overall, a very relaxing and low-key holiday morning and afternoon.
