Christmas Evening -- December 25

Hazel and Vivian, all dressed up in their holiday outfits, and hanging out by the Christmas tree.  Vivian really likes to look at the lights, and Hazel enjoyed being able to open the all too tempting "Chrim-pas" presents under the tree after stacking, sorting, and carrying them around for days.

Grammy Frieda came over in the afternoon, and shared a salt-crusted pork roast, potatoes, and a salad with us.  We did the roast, and she did everything else.  We had vanilla ice cream with holiday sprinkles and cut-out sugar cookies that we had decorated earlier in the week for dessert.  It was very festive, but very simple.

Grammy gave Vivi this cuddly blanket to go with a new big girl bed whenever she is ready to graduate from the crib.

Here Hazel is trying on a hat that came from uncle Ned and aunt Cindy in Montana, and enjoying looking at herself looking silly in the mirror (there are mittens still attached).

It was a very merry Christmas!
