Scaramie -- Oct 31

The Downtown Laramie Business Association sponsors "Scaramie," a morning trick-or-treat downtown, and we tried it out this year.  The girls were super tough, considering it was not quite 50 degrees out and they were wearing not much for sleeves.  There were a lot of kids (no pictures of that, unfortunately).  Maybe too many?  We might skip it in the future, it felt a little too much like a continuous line throughout the downtown.

Just in case you haven't seen the new live-action Cinderella, here is the trailer, and our costume inspiration.  We even managed butterflies.

Pumpkin Carving -- Oct. 30

Hazel and Vivian made stars, and yes they did actually run the little pumpkin saws some, with help.

I did some leaves, and Andrew made an owl.

Trying out Cinderella outfits -- Oct 28

Napping Baby -- Oct 28

Stacking Cups -- Oct 27

Pumpkin Peek-a-Boo -- Oct 24

This is the pumpkin playing peek-a-boo that we visit every night in October.  It was a big hit last year and this year Vivian is joining in the fun.  Our evening walk includes a number of these things now, from ghosts to cats to pumpkins.

Bedtime in a Box and a Baby Bear -- Oct. 23

Homecoming -- Oct 17

Andrew was gone hunting, and we entertained ourselves on a Saturday morning by walking down to the court house, and watching the homecoming parade.  They had a great time, but were definitely a bit overwhelmed by all the people and the noise.

We saw a few members of our congressional delegation--above is John Barrasso and below is Cynthia Lummis.  Sen. Enzi didn't make it home for homecoming this year, unfortunately!

Jumping in the Leaves -- Oct 15

Jane -- Oct 14

Daddy and Jane -- October 3

Andrew bouncing little Jane to sleep.

Jane's Baby Shower -- October 3

Two nice ladies from church wanted to have a baby shower for Jane, and it was this past Saturday.  It was nice to spend the morning visiting and passing the sleeping baby around!  It has been so nice to really have a church family to welcome Jane, everyone has been so encouraging and excited.

Sisters at Bedtime -- September 29

Out for a Walk at UW -- September 29

We packed up a whole bunch of snacks and headed out with the big girls in the double stroller and I carried the baby in a wrap. We were intending to go to storytime at the library, but we didn't leave the house quite on time for such a long walk and changed our plans.  We walked to campus instead, and looked at everything we could find.

This bear was our first stop.  Vivian pointed out the serious claws on this fellow, and Hazel explained that the bear has a "humble bottom."

We stopped and had our first snack in the Cheney Plaza.

We finished up with a trip to the UW Geological Museum.  The girls really liked this, and they've made a lot of improvements since the last time that we went when Vivian was a baby.  The big t-rex outside is pretty fun, and eats pinecones.

These are allosaurus footprints, leading to Big Al, the most complete allosaurus ever found.  Their favorite thing was the augmented reality sandbox, which I got pictures of on my phone, here and here.
