We picked up this copy of Jabberwocky, much abridged for small children, at Oblong Books in Rhinebeck this summer. Jabberwocky was a favorite of Grandpa Frank's, and it seemed fitting. Both girls like this version, and we read it over and over again some days. This morning, Hazel was reading it to Vivian. I had no idea that she had memorized most of the part of the poem that is actually in the book -- nothing about vorpal blades going snicker snack, but there are momeraths outgrabe and tumtum trees.
