Vivian's Third Birthday -- July 26

Conspiring on the birthday morning.

Birthday umbrellas.

Nana and Grandad, Grammy and Nellie all came over for Vivian's "cheese birthday" in the evening.  She wanted a cheesecake, and then from there she went for a whole cheese party.  We had lots of cheese.  Cheese puffs, cheese crackers, fried cheese, cheese quesadillas, cheese and crackers, cheesecake.  A lot of cheese!

Camping at Bear Lake #6: On the Way Out -- July 23

We left early, because the weather was looking a little threatening.  In the end, we got out of the very challenging two-track dirt road to the campsite about when the rain stopped.  But none of our things got wet, so that was a good thing!  We ate supper, and made s'mores, and then packed up.  We made it home for a late bedtime, but all three girls went to sleep easily.  The sunset was absolutely amazing.

Camping at Bear Lake #5: Afternoon hike to Bear Lake -- July 23

Hazel and Vivian started out with hats, but that didn't last too long.

Vivian really liked the elephant's head flowers that were blooming.  The wildflowers were just beautiful up in the mountains, it felt like spring.

We hiked all the way down to the water, and Andrew watched Jane while Hazel and Vivian and I dipped our toes in the very cold water.

Jane did manage to keep her hat.

Camping at Bear Lake# 4: Lunch -- July 23

Someone's ready for lunch!  She likes her applesauce.

Camping at Bear Lake #3: Morning Walk to Silver Run Lake -- July 23

Camping at Bear Lake #2: Breakfast -- July 23

Gathering firewood for our breakfast fire.

Hazel helped Andrew wash the dishes.

Camping at Bear Lake #1: Around the Fire -- July 22

We went camping at our favorite spot up near Bear Lake in the Snowies.  Hazel and Vivian had a snack in the middle of putting camp together.

Jane was contained in the Go-Pod, which made it possible to get the tent up!

S'more time!

Everyone slept well in the tent, and we didn't have to get up too terribly early.  There isn't much space in the tent anymore though, between the five of us and the dog!
