Camping at Bear Lake #3: Morning Walk to Silver Run Lake -- July 23

Camping at Bear Lake #2: Breakfast -- July 23

Gathering firewood for our breakfast fire.

Hazel helped Andrew wash the dishes.

Camping at Bear Lake #1: Around the Fire -- July 22

We went camping at our favorite spot up near Bear Lake in the Snowies.  Hazel and Vivian had a snack in the middle of putting camp together.

Jane was contained in the Go-Pod, which made it possible to get the tent up!

S'more time!

Everyone slept well in the tent, and we didn't have to get up too terribly early.  There isn't much space in the tent anymore though, between the five of us and the dog!

Little Laramie Hikers -- July 22

There is a hiking group for families in Laramie that meets most Fridays year-round, and I'd been meaning to try to be social and go out with them again (we tried it in the winter and were just too cold).  We went on a hike to a waterfall in Curt Gowdy State Park, just East of Laramie.  We didn't make it to the waterfall because I realized that I had left the car unlocked...so we turned around.  But we enjoyed the hiking group, and we'll do that again sometime soon.

Hazel and Vivian dressed themselves, they wanted to wear their "boots." They looked a little bit more ready for roller derby than hiking, but they did a great job regardless.

No Hands! -- July 17

Jane and her Cup -- July 17

This is Jane's table pose.  Very relaxed.  A little skeptical.

Red Hook #5: Jane on the Lawn

Not captured on camera was Jane's dive into the little wading pool!  She got a little more than she bargained for.

This was our last day in Red Hook, before we drove back to Boston.  We had an uneventful drive back, finished The Tale of Desperaux audiobook, and even found a parking place right outside of Van's apartment building.  We had such a nice time in Red Hook with Grandma Evelyn, and were so grateful for her hospitality.  Grandpa Van took us to the playground at the library one more time, and we found supper at a grocery store.  He took the next day off to help us get to the airport.  The flight home was fairly uneventful, although a bit bumpy.  I think everyone ought to travel with a two year old, though, because they just get so much more excited about the little things.  We were going through a bit of turbulence, and Vivian would just light up and say "wheee!"  The landing was also a little bit bumpy, and again, "wheee!" punctuated with lots of giggles.  Hazel and Vivian really liked the airplane.  Jane was not as impressed.  Maybe next time?!
