Ponca #3: Trip to the Visitor's Center -- June 6
In the summer,Ponca State Park has programs for children every day. We had the opportunity to learn about pollinators.
The kids also enjoyed the museum about the Missouri River, which has all kinds of hands on things for them to look at an interact with.
Even the walk to the Visitor's Center was a good time with friends!
Grammy and Nellie -- June 2
Grammy and Nellie were kind enough to come watch the girls so that I could go to a dentist appointment, but the dentist woke up unable to turn her neck...so I got to spend the morning with them too! We went for a very nice walk out on the prairie, chatted, played, and Grammy brought us lunch from Turtle Rock. A very nice morning!
Bicycling around the Neighborhood -- June 1
The snow was finally gone (although only just) and we could take the bicycles around the neighborhood and admire all the spring flowers. The green belt has closed for spring floods (still) so we have to bicycle elsewhere. Hazel is doing amazingly well on her new bike, and Vivian has mastered the balance bike at this point. They're hard to keep up with! They are supposed to stop at every corner and wait for all of us to catch up, even when we aren't crossing a street. Most of the time, they do a very good job.
