Growing Telanders

Air Force Academy Band -- June 29

We woke the girls up from nap time early in order to make a 3:00 performance in Washington Park by the Air Force Academy band. We thought Hazel would like to see the trumpets. We had a hard time finding a spot to situate ourselves because the turnout was so good and we were a little slow, but we stuffed our stroller and camp loveseat in under a tree and did pretty well there. Hazel did like the trumpets. It was fun, they played a wide variety of different songs, from country/western classics to patriotic marches to contemporary Disney movie music.

It was a pretty warm day, and we finally decided to go for it and find a little wading pool for the backyard. Both of the girls liked it right away, although the water was too cold to pop Vivian in with Hazel. She splashed comfortably from outside the pool.

Evening hike at Blair -- June 27

We made it out to Blair in the Laramie Range for an evening walk. It was still super green out there for this time of year, and it actually rained on us (which is why Vivi is borrowing Andrew's hat in the picture above).

This picture reminded us a lot of a picture from last September, which you can find here. Hazel has gotten so big since last year!

Swinging -- June 25

We go out and swing almost everyday, often first thing in the morning after Andrew leaves for work, and in the afternoon when nap time is over.

Matching jammies -- June 23

I wanted to get a picture of Hazel and Vivian in their matching jammies before Hazel grew out of hers. Hazel called these her "horsey jammies" and they have been her favorite pajamas, the first ones she really got attached to. The horses are flying unicorns, if you know what to look for.
